Requirements
Must:
- Business application architecture design and modeling techniques, patterns, tools, and standards.
- Proficiency in public cloud technologies, design patterns, containers, tools, and best practices (especially AWS).
- Familiarity with CICD delivery methodologies and best practices.
- Experience in relational, NoSQL, and open-source database design/modeling, technologies, and patterns.
- Significant experience in designing microservice, event-driven, and API-led architecture while guiding to best practices.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Solution Architect, I am looking for skilled architects to join our community who are confident in working on products and services in a complex digital environment. In this role, I will design, implement, and oversee the architecture of IT solutions that enhance services for millions of DWP users. I will deliver the technical and architecture design elements for either the Health & Disability or Children & Families functions. I will collaborate with engineers and other experts in multi-disciplinary teams to create efficient solution designs that meet user needs. Ensuring technical quality and adherence to DWP's Digital Blueprint, Enterprise Architecture, and Product Roadmaps will be one of my key responsibilities. I will also identify, capture, share, iterate, and implement architecture patterns.
As an architecture expert, I will communicate effectively and lead by influencing good decisions while making complex concepts simple to understand, whether it is in governance and design boards or during discussions with senior leaders and my team.
Description
I am pleased to offer a competitive salary of up to £70,000, along with a fantastic civil service pension with employer contributions of 28.97%, equivalent to over £16,000 per year. The role provides a generous leave package starting at 26 days, increasing to 31 days over time, along with the possibility of taking up to 3 extra days off per month on flexi-time.
