Must:
We are looking for individuals with deep expertise in modern JavaScript and Node.js, utilizing well-established frameworks and design principles to lead the delivery of high-quality software. You should be skilled in applying Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) techniques to build reliable, maintainable code from the ground up. Experience with APIs, RESTful services, and microservice architectures is essential, as well as the ability to design and develop systems that are scalable, secure, and easy to maintain. You should be comfortable developing in cloud environments like AWS and Azure, utilizing the appropriate tools and services for optimal outcomes. Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres, MySQL, and MongoDB, will be crucial as you choose the right approach for each task. Additionally, you will need to build and maintain robust automated test suites that support continuous deployment and instill confidence in our teams to move quickly. We value leadership in multidisciplinary engineering teams, helping to shape deliveries, set standards, and foster a collaborative, supportive culture that encourages everyone to perform at their best.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping how we build and deliver impactful software. You'll collaborate within an agile team, guiding the work while also supporting and mentoring fellow engineers. We expect you to bring a solid understanding of software design and architecture, particularly in JavaScript and Node.js, to create reliable and scalable systems that serve millions of users. You will take ownership of the code produced by your team, ensuring it is robust, well-tested, and designed for longevity. Collaboration is key; you will help cultivate a team culture where strong engineering practices, such as test-driven development, are common. If you have experience with containerized microservices and cloud platforms, you will find yourself well-prepared to hit the ground running with our established deployment patterns.
