We are looking for candidates with significant demonstrable expertise in front-end development, particularly for large-scale systems handling high user traffic, transactions, and complex business processes. You should possess a detailed working knowledge and extensive experience with open-source technologies, including HTML, CSS, client and server-side JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and other modern front-end frameworks and templating languages. Experience in building accessible, compliant user interfaces is essential. Additionally, you should have a proven ability to achieve thorough unit test coverage using common testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha. Familiarity with various technical systems, including database technologies (SQL or NoSQL), caching tools like Redis, and API Microservices, along with deploying into cloud-based infrastructures (AWS or Azure) will be beneficial. We are looking for individuals who can influence and lead front-end activities, establish high standards, and contribute across multiple teams.
Responsibilities
In your role as a Senior Front End Developer, you will be expected to lead and promote our technical direction while developing reusable patterns and components. You will leverage your expertise in user interface development and design at scale, while utilizing modern development stacks. Specifically, you will work with Node.js, Express, React, and templating engines to deliver accessibility-compliant UIs following well-defined GDS standards. We adopt industry-standard development frameworks and languages to construct enterprise-level systems, while continuously seeking innovative practices to enhance our speed of delivery and the robustness of our software implementations.
