Requirements

Must:
- Demonstrable ability to build strong relationships within a team and with other stakeholders to ensure service outcomes are achieved. - Evidence of successfully implementing improvement initiatives from a technical and process perspective. - A passion for automation over manual interventions. - Proven problem-solving and systems thinking skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and understand system architecture. - Evidence of resolving complex incidents across multiple systems. - Previous experience in managing the technical application support of services, including familiarity with the ITIL Service Management Framework to deliver quality service.

Responsibilities

You will be the go-to person when issues arise, helping to fix problems, improve processes, and support your colleagues. As part of an agile environment, you will utilize ITIL and other best practices to deliver exceptional service to our users. Additionally, you will mentor others, drive improvements, and collaborate across diverse teams within DWP Digital. Whether managing incidents, leading service transitions, or assisting new starters, your contributions will be crucial in ensuring our services run seamlessly.

You will join us at one of our fantastic digital hubs in either Blackpool or Newcastle, whichever is most convenient for you. We offer a hybrid working model, allowing you to spend some time working from home while also collaborating in the office. The competitive pay for this role is up to £46,547, along with a generous civil service pension that includes employer contributions worth 28.97%, which amounts to over £12,000 per year. You will benefit from a generous leave package starting at 26 days, increasing to 31 days over time, along with up to 3 extra days off each month through flexitime and standard public holidays.
