Requirements

Must:
We are looking for candidates with significant experience in the full life cycle of cloud-based platforms and applications, specifically in designing, deploying, supporting, and patching, particularly AWS. You should have experience leading and supporting engineers in multi-disciplinary teams in an agile environment, sharing knowledge and best practices across the organization. A strong background in version control systems and building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., git with GitLab CI or Jenkins) is crucial. Additionally, you should have significant experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration for one or more cloud providers, as well as experience with containerization and container orchestration. Proficiency in multiple scripting and/or programming languages (e.g., Bash, Python) is also required.

As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will lead and set the strategy for our products and applications. You will collaborate closely with researchers, testers, architects, analysts, and designers as part of multi-functional agile delivery teams. You will also be part of a supportive engineering community of practice, comprised of hundreds of engineering experts motivated by passion and purpose. We will provide you with the tools and time to enhance your capabilities through coaching, mentoring, qualifications, formal learning, and meet-ups or anything else that works for you.

We offer a competitive salary of up to £89,995, along with 28.97% employer pension contributions—a benefit valued at over £21,000 per year. Our generous leave package starts at 26 days and increases to 31 days over time, plus up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time, alongside all public holidays. We work in a hybrid model, allowing you to balance working from home and collaborating in one of our digital hubs located in Blackpool, Manchester, or Newcastle.
