Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist, you will be engaging in advanced analytics, notably in machine learning, network analytics, and natural language processing, utilizing Python and SQL while adhering to coding best practices to develop extensible and re-usable codebases. You will collaborate with the broader Data Science and Data community, advocating for best practices and promoting innovation and AI literacy throughout the organization. Your primary stakeholders will include the Design & Build and Strategy teams that support the Universal Credit program, as well as members of the Data Practice across DWP.

Description

We offer a competitive salary of up to £55,091 and a generous pension scheme, with employer contributions worth 28.97%, equating to up to £12,345 per year. You will enjoy a flexible working environment, spending part of your time at home and part collaborating in one of our digital hubs located in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, or Sheffield. Our leave package starts at 26 days, increasing to 31 days over time, with the option to take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time, alongside standard public holidays.
