Requirements
Must:
I am looking for candidates with experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), security operations, cyber threat hunting, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and detection analytics. Practical knowledge of IAM technologies such as Active Directory (AD), Azure AD, access policies, authentication/authorization, strong authentication, and privileged access management is essential. Candidates should be familiar with open standards like SAML, OAuth, or OpenID. Experience with SIEM content development, security monitoring, incident detection, incident response, and forensics is also necessary. Additionally, having experience in threat hunting and incident response in Windows and/or Linux environments, as well as cloud/hybrid environments, is highly advantageous. Candidates should be comfortable working within a global, highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will support the IAM technology stack by performing various identity, access, and data protection activities, including monitoring and enhancements to ensure that the security systems are operational and effective. I will design and enforce policies around least privilege access, identity governance, and periodic access reviews. My responsibilities will include implementing and maintaining network, intrusion detection, and prevention systems, as well as other security tools in a hybrid environment (both on-premises and cloud). I will stay informed about the latest threats in cybersecurity to guide and advise the organization regarding the protection of our systems. Additionally, I will serve as a technical resource for the security operations team during active response efforts and manage user roles, permissions, and authentication mechanisms such as PAM, SSO, MFA, and OAuth. I will also monitor cloud security events, logs, and alerts to detect and respond to potential threats.
Description
This position is primarily remote, but candidates must be prepared to work from my client's Leeds office one day per quarter, if required. Working as part of a globally distributed team, I am committed to deploying, maintaining, supporting, and improving tools and processes for Information Security on a global scale.
