Requirements
Must:
- I have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and standards.
- I possess experience with security frameworks, compliance, and vendor management.
- I demonstrate a clear interest and foundational knowledge in cybersecurity, shown through self-study or relevant projects.
- I am familiar with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, along with their associated security practices.
- I have experience with Microsoft Sentinel, DUO MFA, Meraki MDM, and ZENWorks.
- I understand the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation process.
Responsibilities
- I develop, maintain, and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
- I implement security frameworks, currently focusing on Cyber Essentials Plus, tailoring them to our firm's environment.
- I collaborate with our external SOC/SIEM service to monitor systems and investigate anomalies.
- I lead the response to security incidents, conducting root cause analysis and remediation.
- I produce incident reports and support regular testing of response protocols.
- I conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, ensuring follow-through on remediation.
- I evaluate, implement, and support key security tools, such as IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and patch management.
- I audit and optimize the performance of automated patching and MDM solutions.
Description
We are currently recruiting for a Cyber Security Analyst to join our leading client in the Business Consultancy industry in London. In this role, I will work closely with our external Security Operations Centre (SOC) and SIEM provider to monitor activity, assess threats, and lead the response to security incidents. Please note that this position will require attendance in the office 2-3 days per week.
