Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in on-premise to cloud transformation (required)
- Experience automating into public cloud providers (required)
- Experience with Microsoft Azure (required)
- Experience with Azure Migrate
- Experience in private cloud datacentre technology including VMware, Cisco UCS, Dell EMC (required)
- Experience in private cloud networking including Cisco ACI, F5 load balancing, Palo Alto firewall, SDWAN (required)
- PowerShell (preferred)
- Kubernetes (preferred)
- Terraform (preferred)
- Experience of working within a global environment (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Assess current technologies and prepare for cloud transformation, collaborating with the Platform Engineering team.
- Develop, maintain, and document infrastructure best practices, guidelines, and guardrails for on-premise and cloud technologies.
- Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale while maintaining high standards for code quality and thoughtful design.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve legacy and cloud infrastructure vulnerabilities and deployment issues.
- Develop and deploy modular cloud-based systems.
- Collaborate with the Platform Engineering team to provide automation enhancements that help keep the environment consistent.
- Work with vendor partners to test and benchmark new infrastructure solutions, providing findings to the Infrastructure Architects team and appropriate levels of management.
- Collaborate with application and Infrastructure teams to ensure that both new and existing systems follow BC/DR guidelines, have documented plans, and are tested and reviewed regularly.
- Act as an escalation point for the IT Operations team.
Description
We are a leading global professional services firm currently seeking an Azure Infrastructure Architect (technical) to join our team in London. This is a newly created role, focusing on cloud transformation from on-premise infrastructures into the cloud (Azure), and will suit an individual with strong technical experience in both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure (Microsoft) who has a background in cloud transformation programmes at enterprise scale. Our working policy allows for hybrid work, with 3 days per week required in the office.
