Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience as a DB2 System Administrator / Systems Programmer
- Experience with DB2 for z/OS (not LUW or distributed databases)
- Knowledge of z/OS internals and mainframe infrastructure
- Proficient in SMP/E installation and maintenance
- DB2 performance tuning and subsystem optimization skills
- Familiarity with mainframe security tools (RACF, ACF2, Top Secret)
- Experience with Broadcom / CA tooling (SYSVIEW, Platinum)
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and upgrade DB2 for z/OS using SMP/E
- Apply PTFs and manage the DB2 subsystem lifecycle
- Monitor and tune performance (ZPARMS, buffer pools, EDM pools)
- Execute backup, recovery, and disaster recovery for DB2 catalog and directory
- Administer Broadcom / CA tools (Platinum, SYSVIEW for DB2)
- Implement and manage DB2 security via RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret
- Support high-availability, production mainframe environments
- Engage in client-facing communication and participate in vendor engagements
