Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in open-source, backend, or DevOps roles.
- Demonstrated history of contributions to GitHub, GitLab, or other OSS platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Git and understanding of advanced Git operations.
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting live repositories and managing large-scale data operations.
- Knowledge of AI/LLM evaluation (a bonus).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to document and explain technical problems clearly.
- Familiarity with open-source community practices and contribution standards.
Responsibilities
- Review, maintain, and troubleshoot live open-source repositories.
- Perform deep Git operations and help resolve repository issues without data loss.
- Conduct code reviews, validate pull requests, and ensure high-quality contributions to the repository.
- Debug repository states and fix broken histories.
- Write and review documentation for repository maintenance, including changelogs and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with other engineers and developers to improve the codebase and address issues as they arise.
- Support AI/LLM evaluation (if applicable) by contributing to the review of model output related to open-source projects.
Description

This position for an Open Source Developer is a short-term hourly contract with a flexible commitment of 10–40 hours per week, fully remote, offering a compensation range of $90–$120 per hour.
