Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day administration, configuration, and maintenance of SAP HANA database environments to ensure stability and reliability.
- Continuously monitor system performance, analyze workload trends, and implement tuning strategies to optimize efficiency and scalability.
- Plan, execute, and validate backup and recovery procedures to safeguard data integrity and ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate closely with the SAP functional and technical teams, providing expert guidance and operational support.
- Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks and capacity constraints.
- Lead incident and problem management activities, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
- Contribute to project delivery efforts and enforce security, governance, and compliance standards across database environments.
Description
We are a leading customer based in Birmingham, seeking an SAP BASIS Administrator for a 6-month initial contract duration. This role requires hybrid working from Birmingham and may involve travel to other sites and third-party suppliers. We offer a competitive rate of £450-475 per day inside IR35, and our team is committed to maintaining high standards of operational support and compliance.
