Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience and expertise in data protection within the financial services environment
- Ability to provide complex data protection advice across diverse business functions
- Experience in reviewing technical documentation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Attention to detail and sound judgment
- Ability to produce accurate documentation
- Professional certifications such as CIPP/E or CIPM (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain adherence to UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018
- Ensure personal data is processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently
- Develop and implement data protection policies
- Provide expert advice on best practices to mitigate risks
- Advise on complex data protection issues including data sharing and profiling
- Manage compliance monitoring activities and complete the ICO Accountability Framework
- Oversee data protection impact assessments
- Deliver guidance and training to staff on data protection principles
- Act as a key point of contact for regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders
