Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience leading a team, with a focus on mentoring and professional development
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence and deliver through a senior matrix structure of leaders
- Extensive experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or data science, with a focus on delivering actionable business insights
- Knowledge of business analysis techniques, particularly in capturing data requirements and understanding problem statements
- Knowledge of industry developments in Data Management and experience working to those principles
- Strong understanding of business operations and how to leverage data to support business decisions
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in a similar role within Financial Services is a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead a high-performing team of Data Analytics Business Partners and BI Developers
- Provide enterprise-wide insights that enable better decision-making and drive performance across the Society and the Bank
- Ensure executives and functional leaders harness the value of data, translating complex information into actionable insights
- Act as the primary link between the business and the Analytics function, overseeing comprehensive data service delivery
- Champion data products and ensure alignment with group data governance and delivery standards
- Present technical solutions, risks, and issues to senior and wider stakeholder audiences
- Shape group strategy through insight-led challenge and drive a positive, collaborative culture
- Manage risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges proactively
- Support continuous improvement across the data office
- Deputize for senior data leaders when required to maintain momentum and impact across the Group
