Requirements
Must:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Networking) from a four-year college or university.
- Motivation driven by technology; you should have a passion for exploring new technology both at work and in personal life.
- Career-minded attitude with ambition for long-term growth and development within the company.
- Ability to thrive in challenging situations, particularly in a large client environment with over 1500 product lines.
- Excellent communication skills to handle support situations with a customer-first focus.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Linux (or any Unix flavor), Docker or similar navigation tools, Cassandra or other database administration tools, and knowledge of networking/security protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, SSH).
Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical support (via telephone or online) for specific products 24/7, and offer on-site support to customers when necessary.
- Be prepared for weekend coverage approximately every 6th to 8th weekend, in exchange for a highly flexible work schedule.
- Resolve technical problems for customers and recover vital information to escalate incidents or issues appropriately to senior engineers.
- Work with multiple internal escalation points for support and guidance.
