Requirements
Must:
- I require prior commercial experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or Cyber Security Analyst, ideally within a similar SME-sized organization.
- I expect hands-on experience in the management of IDS/IPS, Firewalls, VPN, EDR/XDR, mail filtering, and other security products.
- Experience with Security Information Event Management (SIEM) tools is essential.
- Any experience or knowledge of ISO27001, as well as penetration testing and vulnerability scanning, would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities
- In this role, you will join my internal security team to monitor and analyze real-time security events using SIEM tools to detect and respond to potential threats.
- You will conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and mitigate security risks and breaches.
- Investigating security incidents and performing forensic analysis to determine root causes will be a critical part of your job, along with recommending remediation actions.
- I also expect you to stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry-standard methodologies, providing recommendations for improvements.

This role will involve ad hoc travel to other sites/data centers, so a full UK driving license is required. You will work in a hybrid arrangement, spending three days a week in the Basingstoke office.
