Requirements
Must:
I am looking for a Solutions Architect with at least 5 years of experience (or similar) working closely with customers throughout the sales cycle. A background in technical pre-sales support in Managed WAN/LAN Services is essential, ideally with familiarity in Cisco, Extreme, or Fortinet technologies. You should have proven experience in bespoke solution design and documentation, along with a strong understanding of WAN technologies such as Leased Lines, Carrier Ethernet, EFM, and xDSL. Knowledge of LAN across DC, core, aggregation, and access layers is also important. Up-to-date skills in SDN, SD-WAN, NFV, and network virtualization are required, as well as a solid understanding of Wi-Fi technologies including CAPWAP, WPA, 802.1X, mesh, and controllers. Strong communication skills are a must, as you will be interacting with customers, not just technology. A valid UK driving license and the ability to pass BPSS and other clearance checks are necessary.
Responsibilities
As our Solutions Architect, you will partner with Sales and Account teams to understand customer needs and attend meetings and reviews, bringing the technical expertise needed to help close deals. You will design tailored LAN & WAN solutions that align perfectly with our product offerings. Throughout the process, you will support customers by offering clear and confident guidance, avoiding unnecessary jargon or complexity. Your role includes producing professional documentation such as Statements of Work (SOWs), High-Level Designs (HLDs), and schematics that are comprehensive and reliable. You will collaborate across various teams—Sales, Service Delivery, and Account Management—to win new business, support renewals, and ensure our current customers are satisfied. Additionally, you will track and manage activity in our CRM, contributing to a pipeline worth over £1 million in Gross Margin each year. Your focus will also be on optimizing every solution to ensure it is profitable, reliable, and built to deliver long-lasting value.
