Requirements
Must:
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following essential skills, qualifications, and experience:
- At least 12 months of demonstrable hands-on experience within the last 3 years, including:
- Creating PHP and JavaScript web services
- Utilizing web services provided through REST and SOAP interfaces
- Automated deployment of server, network, and storage technologies across multiple vendors
- Building or supporting large infrastructure environments
- Troubleshooting hardware or software component failures
- Working as part of an Agile development team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to solve problems and propose new ideas
- Competency in MS Office Suite
Responsibilities
In your role as an Automation Engineer, you will support complex mission-critical infrastructure to deliver secure, robust, and scalable infrastructure solutions. You will work closely within an Agile development team and will be responsible for both the deployment and troubleshooting of server and networking technologies.
Description
This position requires active SC Clearance and an on-site presence in Corsham 2-3 days per week. While it is essential to have the aforementioned skills, it is also desirable that you have experience working within the public sector, preferably in Defence, and ideally with Defence Digital (formerly ISS). A background in delivering accredited secure solutions within the UK Public Sector and a university-based education in Computer Science at the Bachelors or Masters level would be advantageous.
