Must:
We are looking for candidates with a qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field—or equivalent experience and a strong interest in IT support. You should have a good understanding of basic IT concepts, including operating systems, networking, and troubleshooting. Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn are essential. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must, along with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. A customer-focused attitude and professional approach are vital for success in this role.
Responsibilities
In this entry-level IT First Line Support role, I will serve as the first point of contact for IT queries through various channels including phone, email, chat, or our ticketing system. I will accurately log all incidents and service requests while diagnosing and resolving first-line technical issues, such as password resets, software installation, hardware troubleshooting, network connectivity, and support for Email and Office 365. My focus will be on delivering high-quality customer service, ensuring users receive timely and helpful responses. I will escalate complex or unresolved issues to relevant teams or external providers and follow standard operating procedures while adhering to company policies. Maintaining accurate documentation and updating the knowledge base will also be part of my responsibilities. Additionally, I will assist in setting up new user accounts, onboarding devices, and contributing to IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Description
This position is offered as a full-time role with a salary ranging from £27,500.00 to £32,500.00 per year. Benefits include a company pension, free on-site parking, and the option to work remotely in a hybrid setup. The work location is based in Sunderland, SR5 3HD.
