Responsibilities

- You will lead the full lifecycle of low-code/no-code application solutions, from requirements gathering through to deployment, governance, and support. - I expect you to collaborate with business units to identify automation and digital enablement opportunities, improving operational efficiency and data accuracy. - You will oversee and manage a small internal team consisting of a Business/Data Analyst, Software Developer, and HR Systems Engineer, alongside two external managed services. - Driving application standardisation across business units to reduce duplication, simplify the portfolio, and improve scalability will be your responsibility. - You will manage and govern the SharePoint environment, ensuring effective architecture, permissions, and content lifecycle management. - Overseeing the Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring reliable data integrations, access control, and performance monitoring is part of your role. - You will own vendor relationships for key managed services including COINS and UKG Time & Attendance, ensuring service performance and alignment with business priorities. - Supporting M&A activities by leading the migration and integration of applications and associated data, ensuring compliance and business continuity, will be crucial. - Establishing governance frameworks, standards, and best practices for application development and management will be expected. - Ensuring security, scalability, and enterprise alignment for all applications and digital workflows will be a key priority. - Promoting shared frameworks, templates, and components across business systems to accelerate delivery and consistency will also be part of your responsibilities.

We are a well-established and highly profitable construction engineering business located in Central London, offering a salary of £80,000 - £85,000. This is a critical leadership role within our organisation, which is undergoing significant digital transformation. Our ambitious growth and acquisition plans are driving the demand for scalable, standardised, and efficient business applications. Reporting into the Head of IT, you will lead the delivery, governance, and optimisation of our business applications across the enterprise. This role blends strategic oversight, hands-on expertise with modern low-code/no-code platforms, and direct leadership of a multidisciplinary applications team. The IT Applications Manager will oversee a suite of core enterprise systems, including but not limited to Workday, UKG (Kronos), COINS, SharePoint, Snowflake, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Pro-Sapien, Primavera P6, among others. The role requires working onsite in Central London four days per week initially, dropping to three days once the probation period is passed.
