Requirements
Must:
- Solid fundamentals in web security.
- Understanding of source control, ideally Git.
- Technical skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Angular, HTML, CSS, and MySQL.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with management and support teams.
- Willingness to learn and adapt practices in a changing industry.
- Ability to work to security best practices and company policies to ensure quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with incoming support requests, acting as 2nd line to investigate bugs and data issues.
- Identify potential bugs and record them in detail on project tracking software.
- Resolve identified bugs, isolating code changes from other issues.
- Implement new development requests with well-written, maintainable code.
- Write code in a style consistent with existing projects.
- Extensively test code across different use cases, comment appropriately, and produce testing guidelines.
- Manage workload through project management software, communicating with multiple teams to prioritize tasks within fixed development cycles.
Description
We are looking for a Junior Full Stack Developer to join our design and development team. In this role, you will help maintain and develop bespoke applications, implement new product features, and enhance existing functionality. We seek someone eager to learn, committed to development, and excited to contribute to a close-knit team. We would love to see candidates with a degree in Computer Science and knowledge of cloud infrastructure, services, and security. Prior web development experience (applications, websites, or WordPress) and familiarity with PHP or other programming languages would be great additions. Our company creates beautiful, unique, and functional systems, with every aspect of the development process designed to match our clients' needs. Established for over 30 years, we have built a reputation for delivering bespoke solutions to a wide range of clients, from major international companies to small independent businesses. Our projects range from small responsive websites to fully functional management platforms, including maintaining one of the UK’s market-leading case management software products. We offer a competitive salary range of £25,000 - £35,000 DOE, an annual bonus, a 5% contributory pension, 20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, and a day off on your birthday. Our office is based in a rural location, so a driving license and vehicle will be required.
