Requirements
Must:
- Around 2-3 years of experience within a development team
- Good understanding of web security fundamentals
- Experience with source control, ideally Git
- Strong skills across JavaScript / TypeScript, Node.js, Angular, HTML, CSS, and MySQL
- Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with support teams and management
- A willingness to learn and adapt within a changing technical environment
- A quality-focused approach, with an understanding of security best practice and compliance requirements
Desirable Extras:
- Degree in Computer Science or similar
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure, services, or security
- Previous web development experience, particularly web applications
- Exposure to WordPress
- Additional programming language experience such as PHP or C#
Responsibilities
- Supporting incoming development-related issues and investigating bugs alongside the support team
- Identifying, documenting, and resolving software bugs and data issues
- Developing new features and enhancements across existing applications
- Writing well-structured, maintainable code in keeping with existing projects
- Testing thoroughly across a range of use cases
- Producing clear notes and guidance for testers where needed
- Managing work through project tracking and project management tools
- Communicating with different teams to help prioritise work and deliver within set development cycles
- Keeping up to date with modern technologies, security considerations, and software threats
