Requirements
Must:
We are looking for an IT Systems Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in IT systems and infrastructure support, preferably in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. You should have a strong technical background, particularly in servers, networks, security, and virtualization. Proficiency with Windows Server (2019/2022), VMware, and networking (TCP/IP, firewalls, routing, switching) is essential. Experience with Active Directory, security protocols, and virtualization will be critical. A problem-solving mindset coupled with strong communication skills is necessary. Desirable skills include knowledge of Veeam, PRTG, and Endpoint Central, along with Microsoft certifications and experience in project planning.
Responsibilities
In this role, I expect you to support and maintain our IT infrastructure, which includes servers, storage, networking, and VoIP systems. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, and applications. Monitoring system performance, applying patches, and ensuring data backups will be part of your routine tasks. You will provide desktop, software, and network support to both customers and internal users, while working within our cybersecurity policies to manage system security updates. Additionally, you will participate in a 24/7 on-call support rota for critical IT services.
