Requirements
Must:
- Strong commercial experience developing and supporting Moodle
- Experience with Moodle plugin development and platform customisation
- Solid PHP development skills; front-end skills such as JavaScript/CSS are beneficial
- Experience with REST APIs and system integrations
- Familiarity with Linux environments and version control best practices
- Experience working in structured delivery environments (Agile, CI/CD, etc.)
- Experience within Higher Education or large, complex organisations is advantageous but not essential
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, configuration, and optimisation of a large-scale Moodle VLE
- Develop plugins, integrations, and enhancements to improve user experience and functionality
- Support and troubleshoot complex issues, implementing clean, scalable fixes
- Design and maintain REST-based integrations with internal and third-party systems
- Contribute to CI/CD, version control, and modern development best practices
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver robust, secure solutions
- Provide technical guidance within projects and contribute to service improvement initiatives
