Requirements
Must:
- A well-organized and structured approach to work planning, with the ability to flexibly adapt to daily routines.
- A commitment to constantly learning new skills and developing knowledge, understanding that study time outside of working hours may be required.
- Credible knowledge or experience in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policies, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Exchange Server.
- Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize work, and handle competing interests.
- Capability to analyze information technology logs and events.
- Working knowledge of data storage systems, data backup, and restoration methods.
- Understanding of security tooling, including Anti-Malware, IPS, Web and Email Gateways, and security analysis tools.
- Ability to work independently while managing support to a high standard.
- Contribution to the IT department's delivery of SLAs and other support targets.
- Self-motivation to advance knowledge and gain formal qualifications in cybersecurity.
- Ability to analyze vulnerabilities, threats, designs, procedures, and architectural design, producing reports and sharing intelligence.
- Advanced knowledge of computer forensics, legal frameworks relating to cybersecurity, and methods for intelligence gathering and sharing.
- Knowledge of cloud computing, computer network defense, identity management, incident management, and network security.
- Significant experience within a SOC environment.
- Incident response experience.
- A qualification or certification in Cybersecurity.
Responsibilities
- Perform endpoint monitoring and analysis.
- Facilitate incident readiness and handling as part of the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT).
- Monitor and administer Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
- Conduct malware analysis and forensics research.
- Differentiate between intrusion attempts and false positives, tracking investigations and threat resolutions.
- Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Compose and disseminate security alert notifications.
- Advise incident responders and other teams on threats.
- Triage security events and incidents, applying containment and remediation strategies.
- Generate reports and document security incidents and events.
- Proactively monitor system performance and conduct routine inspections of installed equipment.
- Act as the point of escalation for the service desk regarding security-related tickets.
- Analyze weekly vulnerability scans and update relevant records.
