We are looking for an IT Business Analyst with experience working in cross-functional technology and development teams. You should possess the ability to build effective relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. We value collaboration, so you must be a team player who can discuss challenges in a constructive manner. Additionally, you should have a passion for gathering requirements and analyzing complex data.
Key skills include:
- Experience as an IT Business Analyst or in a similar role within a complex environment, such as financial services.
- Proficiency in using SQL queries to extract information from systems and derive analytical conclusions.
- Knowledge of Agile software development practices.
- Strong communication skills that enable you to build relationships, influence others, and respond to challenges effectively.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a high-demand environment.
- Exposure to financial systems and share plan administration, particularly our platform, EquatePlus.
- A formal qualification in IT Business Analysis or a relevant technical degree would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be part of a product-focused, cross-functional delivery team where building trusted relationships is essential. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and facilitating structured workshops with stakeholders to identify and prioritize requirements using a range of analysis techniques.
- Implementing Agile practices to respond to business needs and find innovative solutions.
- Writing clear and high-quality User Stories and Acceptance Criteria to organize a well-prioritized Product Backlog for the development team.
- Actively contributing to the Business Analyst community by sharing knowledge, embracing change, and collaborating with a network of stakeholders.
- Making and honoring commitments within a cross-functional team, supporting teammates and seeking help when needed.
- Assisting with strategic initiatives within the IT Business Analyst group and supporting junior Business Analysts.
- Contributing to Service Transition and providing 2nd line support as necessary.
