Requirements
Must:
- eDV clearance is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Java development.
- Experience with object store configuration and containerization.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Back-end software development skills using Python and Java.
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
- Ability to integrate 3rd party software and perform scripting/glue work.
- Experience in building and deploying web user interfaces.
- Background in working closely with or in national security missions.
- Understanding of Agile approaches to project delivery.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to trace faults/errors in the system.
- Excellent communication skills to present technical ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
As a Java Developer, I will be responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices. I will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and integrate software components, and actively participate in Agile ceremonies to enhance team productivity. My role will require troubleshooting and debugging issues to maintain operational efficiency and providing technical support as needed.
Description
This position is a 5-month contract with a daily rate of up to £785, categorized as Inside IR35. The work environment is hybrid, with potential locations in Manchester, Cheltenham, or London.
