Requirements
Must:
- Embedded C / C++ (primary language requirement)
- Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
- FreeRTOS, SAFE RTOS, or other small-footprint RTOS
- Experience with embedded microcontrollers & SoCs
- Familiarity with ARM Cortex-R and Cortex-A cores
- Bare-metal firmware development
- Low-level driver development
- Skills in memory-safe and resource-constrained programming
- Knowledge of concurrency, scheduling, and determinism
- Expertise in hardware-software integration
- Experience in a safety-critical environment (ISO 26262, IEC 61508, DO-178C/DO-254, IEC 62304)
- Hazard analysis experience (HAZOP, FMEA)
- Proficient in documentation-heavy workflows
- Understanding of traceability & verification processes
- High learning velocity
- Resilience when making mistakes
- Demonstrated motivation & ambition
- Precision and quality mindset
- Ability to handle safety-critical documentation burden
Responsibilities
- Build safety-critical C/C++ systems on our own RTOS
- Ensure a deep understanding of real-time constraints and determinism
- Perform rigorous documentation and maintain high standards in workflows
- Integrate embedded microcontrollers and SoCs into our systems
- Develop low-level drivers and bare-metal firmware
- Conduct hazard analysis and contribute to safety-critical workflows
- Collaborate with the team on concurrency and scheduling strategies
- Maintain a focus on precision and quality throughout development
- Adapt to a niche operating system and continue learning
- Handle and deliver safety-critical documentation effectively
