Requirements
Must:
We are looking for professionals with a solid enterprise IT background and extensive hands-on expertise in RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), specifically RHEL 8 & 9. You should have proven experience with high-end workstation hardware setups and scientific application support. A strong troubleshooting skill set for both hardware and software issues is essential. Knowledge of scientific computing and experience in high-performance compute environments, including familiarity with Slurm and clustering, is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will administer, configure, and maintain RHEL environments, ensuring stability, performance, and security. You will provide hands-on support for scientists high-end workstation hardware, addressing any hardware and software issues promptly. Additionally, you’ll bridge the gap between research demands and IT infrastructure by offering technical support to scientific users. Your responsibilities will also include managing high-performance compute resources, collaborating with technical teams to align IT services with our organizational needs, and building strong stakeholder relationships while communicating complex technical concepts. Youll implement IT best practices for incident management, oversee SSL certificate management, monitor system performance issues, and effectively handle vendor relationships. Familiarity with MacOS systems will be beneficial for providing assistance when necessary.
