Requirements
Must:
- Must be eligible for, or have active, SC
- AZ-104 (Microsoft Azure Administrator) certification – required
- Hands-on experience operating within Microsoft Azure environments
- Understanding of DevOps principles, preferably including Terraform
- Strong attention to detail with an inquisitive, analytical mindset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in a customer-facing environment
- Willingness to ask questions, seek clarity, and build and share technical understanding
- Desirable: AZ-500, SC-300, Terraform / DevOps, ITIL 4 Foundation certification
- Understanding of DevOps pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
Responsibilities
- Monitor Grafana dashboards, identifying trends and responding to anomalies in real time
- Triage and manage Incidents and Service Requests in line with operational processes
- Perform Azure IAM management and investigations using Log Analytics and KQL
- Monitor and report on security events using Azure Sentinel
- Support infrastructure and configuration management activities, including Terraform
- Maintain Technical Service Guides and operational documentation
- Work as part of a strong technical team, supporting customer relationships and escalating concerns through the appropriate channels
Description
We are seeking a Cloud Engineer (Associate) to provide real-time monitoring, triage, and operational support for our High-Performance Computing (HPC) environment. The role focuses on maintaining secure, reliable Azure-based services while engaging closely with customers. We operate on a 24/7/365 shift rotation, including night shifts, in line with an agreed rota. Our hybrid working model typically allows for 3 days per week on-site near Exeter East, while night shifts can be worked remotely. Candidates must live within reasonable commuting distance of our Exeter office and should be Security Cleared Eligible, having lived in the UK for the last 5 years.
