Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience with production applications using Laravel handling large traffic volumes
- Deep understanding of PHP and OOP
- Experience leading or managing a small development team
- Proven ability to create, maintain, and implement digital solutions in Laravel using integrated tools like filamentphp
- Ability to scale web applications and infrastructure for high performance, security, and reliability as user base and data volume grow
- High-level understanding of AWS infrastructure, including AWS-hosted databases (e.g. RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB)
- Knowledge of cloud architecture, scalability, and performance optimisation
- Experience with deployment, environment management, and security best practices on AWS
- Familiarity with database systems (SQL)
- Proficiency in web technologies, including Livewire, Tailwind, JavaScript
- Experience building and integrating with RESTful APIs
- Proficiency in version control (e.g. Git)
- Understanding of frontend development and frameworks (HTML, CSS)
- DevOps knowledge
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead one other Laravel Developer, taking full responsibility for the platform
- Implement robust, scalable, and secure Laravel applications using modern PHP, OOP, and Laravel best practices
- Write high-quality, maintainable code to power solutions and handle large traffic volumes
- Ensure outstanding user experience through effective application development
- Work with AWS-hosted databases, managing cloud-based architectures
- Collaborate cross-functionally, providing leadership, innovation, and technical insights
- Oversee deployment processes, environment management, and adhere to security best practices
- Continuously optimise application design for scalability and performance
