Requirements
Must:
- I am seeking a candidate with experience in a similar senior-level Platform Engineer role within start-up or scale-up environments, demonstrating strong commercial acumen.
- I prefer someone who has achieved a 2.1 or above BSc from a well-renowned university, such as a Russell Group or Ivy League institution, in a relevant technical discipline.
- Experience working at a FAANG company is highly desirable.
- A background in software engineering with strong knowledge of modern best practices, architecture, and design is essential.
- I require current technical skills in GCP, Python, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Terraform.
- Strong, collaborative, and pragmatic leadership with stakeholder management skills is necessary.
- Experience in building teams and developing people is a must.
Responsibilities
- In this role, I will expect you to assess the current tech setup based on GCP, Python, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Terraform.
- You will establish the production environment and extend the platform to enable scalability.
- Collaboration with the CTO and Lead Software Engineer to establish and build systems from scratch will be a key part of your responsibilities.
- You will also be tasked with building a team of high-performing engineers, with the potential to progress quickly to Head of Technology.
