Requirements
Must:
- We are looking for a bright, ambitious Software Developer who wants to progress their career and learn from working on complex, interesting systems.
- We require a minimum 2.1 BSc in Computer Science or a similar technical discipline from a top-tier or Russell Group university, with strong A-level results.
- We want someone with strong backend coding skills; we are open to candidates from Java, Python, Full Stack, or other backgrounds, provided they are happy to work with C# .NET.
- We need experience with public cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- We value a strong understanding of modern software engineering best practices and experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- We are looking for a solid grasp of computer science fundamentals, including OOP, data structures, design patterns, and algorithms.
- We want someone who enjoys collaboration, problem solving, and working on complex distributed systems.
- We are seeking someone excited to join a start-up environment and help shape and influence the role.
Responsibilities
- We will have you collaborate with a small, talented team to deliver our core platform.
- We will expect you to develop high-quality code within a Microsoft environment using the latest versions of C# .NET.
- We will involve you in building and supporting complex, interesting systems as part of our beta rollout and testing phase.
- We want you to contribute across the full software development lifecycle.
- We will expect you to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and help drive our technical growth.
- We want you to work closely with the team to help shape the product and influence how we build it.
Description
We are a FinTech start-up with secure backing and an established Hedge Fund client as a partner. We are building our core platform from our brand new Central Newcastle offices, where you will work onsite full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexible working hours between 0900 and 1800. Our office is well equipped, offers fantastic views across the city and surrounding countryside, and includes onsite showers for those who walk or cycle in.
