Requirements
Must:
- Strong Java backend development skills, ideally including Spring Boot
- Front end experience with Angular or other JavaScript framework
- Good knowledge of databases and SQL
- Understanding of microservices, TDD / BDD, SOLID design principles, DevOps, CI/CD
- Collaborative and pragmatic mindset, with the ability to take ownership and work effectively with other Engineers, Data Scientists, and DevOps
- SC Clearance or the ability to achieve it (British citizen with the past 5 years continually based in the UK)
Responsibilities
- Design and develop client-based features and enhancements
- Work across the full technology stack on confidential projects
- Utilize a range of technology with a focus on Java, Spring Boot, and Angular
- Implement solutions within a microservices environment
- Apply TDD and SOLID design principles in your work
Description
We are a scaling technology company that produces software solutions for the defence and civil aviation sector. As a Senior Software Engineer, youll have the opportunity to progress your career in a senior, hands-on role while working in a collaborative and diverse team environment. You can work from home most of the time, meeting colleagues in our Guildford office 1-2 days a week. We offer a competitive salary up to £80k, a bonus, a 5% pension contribution, a training budget, the opportunity to work abroad for 4 weeks per year, and 5 charity days per year.
