Requirements
Must:
- Strong data engineering skills, with experience in end-to-end data pipeline builds.
- Deep knowledge of AWS cloud services, including S3, EC2, Lambda, RDS, RedShift, Glue, Kinesis, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience in high throughput data environments, handling millions of events per hour.
- Strong experience with Kafka.
- Proficient in SQL and data modeling, with experience in both SQL and NoSQL data stores.
- Strong understanding of DBT (or equivalent) and Tableau.
- Experience using Python for data processing and automation tasks.
- Good appreciation of Cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Collaborative and pragmatic with excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Engineer, I will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable data pipelines capable of handling approximately 50 million events per day, with a goal to scale to 500 million events per day. I will utilize Kafka for real-time data streaming and AWS to build, optimize, and monitor data warehousing solutions in Amazon RedShift. I will own and manage AWS-based systems to ensure cost-effective, secure, and high-performance data operations.
