Requirements
Must:
- Experience working with media streaming data pipelines
- Strong Data Engineering experience, including design and data modeling skills
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Proficient coding skills in Golang, Python, or Scala
- Experience with Google BigQuery
- Good knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Pub/Sub, Kafka)
- Experience deploying and managing services in cloud environments, preferably GCP (AWS also acceptable)
- Collaborative mindset with fluent English language skills
- Degree educated in a numerate, data-heavy discipline with a minimum of a 2.1 from a top-tier university
Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Engineer, I will expect you to design, build, and maintain high-performance services for content modeling, serving, and integration. You will develop data pipelines (both batch and streaming) using cloud-native tools and collaborate on rearchitecting the content model to support rich metadata. Additionally, you will build and implement APIs and data services to expose data to other teams across the business, and work with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines for deployment and automation.
Description
This position offers a salary of up to £110,000, along with an employee stock options plan and a flexible vacation policy allowing for a total of 35 days of annual leave. While this role primarily allows for remote working, I will require you to join the team in London once a month.
