Requirements
Must:
- Experience designing and implementing scalable solutions for high throughput systems
- Advanced hands-on experience with complex, large-scale distributed systems
- Proficiency in synchronous (e.g., REST APIs) and asynchronous (e.g., WebSockets, message queues like Kafka or RabbitMQ) communication patterns
- Experience with High Availability and disaster recovery strategies for 24/7 financial systems
- Proficiency in multiple development languages, particularly Node.js and Go/Golang
- Strategic mindset with experience in evaluating buy vs build decisions and 3rd party vendors
- Strong knowledge of modern databases
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Collaborate across various technical teams to oversee technical standards and drive excellence
- Develop and champion a cohesive, long-term technical roadmap for existing services
- Lead the design of resilient, high-throughput systems that adhere to security and robustness standards
- Act as the technical authority for complex cross-team challenges related to data resiliency and uptime
- Mentor senior engineers on advanced architectural patterns and operational best practices
- Foster a culture of technical curiosity and ownership within the team
