Must:
We are seeking candidates who have experience in a senior-level Platform Engineer role within start-up or scale-up environments and possess strong commercial acumen. A Bachelor of Science degree with a 2.1 or above from a well-renowned top world university (e.g., Russell Group, Ivy League) in a relevant technical discipline is essential. Experience working at a FAANG company is highly desirable. You should have a software engineering background with a robust understanding of modern best practices in architecture and design. Strong and current technical skills in GCP, Python, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Terraform are required. Additionally, we value collaborative and pragmatic individuals with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, as well as proven experience in building teams and developing talent.
Responsibilities
In the role of Lead Platform Engineer, you will play an impactful role with considerable influence. Initially, you will assess our current tech setup based on GCP, Python, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Terraform. You will establish the production environment and extend the platform to enable scalability. Collaborating closely with the CTO and Lead Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to establish and build systems from scratch. You will also be responsible for building a team of high-performing engineers, with a pathway to quickly progress to the Head of Technology position.

This opportunity is based in Central London, with the flexibility to work from home twice a week. We offer a starting salary of £150k and equity.
