Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience as a Senior Data Engineer or Data Architect on Azure-based platforms.
- Proficiency with ETL and orchestration tools, including Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, and Logic Apps.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Power BI, Lakehouse, and Warehouse components.
- Advanced SQL skills across SQL Server and Lakehouse environments, including data modeling and coding best practices.
- Confidence in designing data models and building production pipelines from scratch.
- Experience in leading or mentoring data engineers or analysts.
Responsibilities
As a Lead Data Engineer, I will guide the design, delivery, and ongoing evolution of our cloud (Azure) data platform, Microsoft Fabric environments, Data Lakehouse, and Data Warehouse solutions that support analytics, reporting, AI, and operational decision-making. I will provide leadership to a small data engineering team by setting the technical direction and mentoring team members. Additionally, I will work hands-on in designing and building robust data pipelines and data models. Collaborating with the Head of Technology and the wider leadership team, I will help shape our data roadmap.
