Requirements

Must:
- Commercial experience in a similar support-based role - Strong knowledge of Windows 10 / 11, Office 365 (Exchange, Teams, OneDrive) - Basic Active Directory and PowerShell scripting skills - Strong desktop troubleshooting skills across hardware and software - Experience supporting AV systems - Excellent customer-facing skills, with a personable and calm demeanor, able to build working relationships easily

Responsibilities

As a Desktop Support Engineer, I will provide 1st line support in line with SLAs. My responsibilities will include hardware deployment (PCs, laptops, phones), hardware repairs and replacements, inventory management, software installations, office moves, and AV support. I will enjoy a varied and interesting role with numerous opportunities for learning and self-development.

This position is based onsite in client offices in Central Newcastle on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday). The offices are well-equipped and offer fantastic views across the City and the local countryside, with many employees walking or cycling to work (onsite showers are available!). Please note that this is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, likely to extend, with a salary of up to £35k and opportunities for professional development.
