Requirements
Must:
- Achieved a 2.1 or above in a STEM discipline, preferably Computer Science
- Commercial experience as a Data Engineer
- Strong skills in Python and PySpark
- Experience with AWS Glue
- Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills and a desire to learn and progress as a Data Engineer
- Additional experience with any of the following is beneficial but not mandatory: AWS Lambda, Airflow, CI/CD, GitHub
- Must be a British citizen or already hold the right to work in Dubai
Responsibilities
- Assist in building a new centralized data platform to store vast amounts of event-related data, including millions of contacts
- Ensure systems are built with security in mind, protecting sensitive information
- Enable marketing teams to send email campaigns to approximately 2.5 million recipients at a time
- Work with a modern tech stack, primarily using Python, PySpark, and AWS services, while gaining skills in AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Airflow, CI/CD, and GitHub
- Manage complex data-centric systems requiring high levels of security, particularly for the identities of dignitaries attending events
