Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 2.1 BSc from a top tier university in Computer Science or a similar technical/scientific discipline
- Minimum A A B grades at A-level
- Commercial Data Engineering experience
- Strong understanding of modern data engineering best practices
- Experience with Databricks, ideally also Azure
- Familiarity with SQL, Apache Spark, and Python including PySpark and Pandas
- Excellent communication skills
- Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for shaping a start-up role
Responsibilities
- Work closely with front office teams to understand and define data needs
- Develop and operate the firms data platform using in-house and third-party tools
- Analyze and automate data-related processes
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual intervention
- Build and maintain data pipelines from various external providers
- Ensure seamless integration of high-quality data into the core platform
- Curate and manage internal and external datasets for analytical and operational requirements
- Design and implement best-practice data models and architectures
- Establish and enforce data standards and quality controls
