Requirements

Must:
We are looking for a Data Engineer who possesses strong experience in Python, SQL, and ETL processes, especially within the healthcare sector, where you have worked with sensitive patient data. You should have a robust understanding of healthcare data standards, including HL7, FHIR, OMOP, and SNOMED, as well as healthcare technology and regulatory requirements, specifically ISO13485 and ISO27001. Experience managing data in Azure is essential, and proficiency with tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics is highly desirable. A good knowledge of Data Lake and Data Warehouse architectures, along with experience in implementing monitoring and logging for data pipelines, is also required. We value individuals who are collaborative, enjoy problem solving, and are proactive in their approach. Previous experience in start-ups or small software companies within unstructured environments is a plus. A degree in Computer Science or a similar technical discipline, achieving a 2.1 or above, is preferred.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will take ownership of healthcare data pipelines and platforms, focusing on the implementation of robust ETL processes and scalable data architectures. You will collaborate with various teams to deliver high-quality data solutions and will be responsible for developing and maintaining data infrastructure on Azure Data Lakes and Data Warehouses. You'll create robust data transformation processes that ensure data quality, consistency, and security, and you will implement automation workflows. Additionally, you will help maintain compliance with ISO27001 and ISO13485 requirements for healthcare data management, ensuring that security-first practices are employed in all data processing solutions to safeguard sensitive patient information. You will also be encouraged to participate in architectural planning to improve our overall data infrastructure and capabilities.
