Requirements
Must:
- Experience in a similar Cloud Security / Platform Security role in FinTech or within a financial services or other regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and/or GCP Cloud Security; willing to work with both.
- Good knowledge of Containers (Nomad/Kubernetes), Virtualisation, IaC, Terraform, Networking, DNS, GitLab/GitHub, and Linux.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.
- Understanding of foundational security concepts and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative and pragmatic approach with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Genuine interest in security, including attendance at conferences and reading relevant blogs in personal time.
Responsibilities
As a Cloud Security Engineer, I will support, maintain, automate, and improve IT security platforms, focusing on securing Containers and CI/CD pipelines. I will collaborate with developers and engineers to foster a security-by-design culture within the organization and ensure the efficient operation of our expanding array of security products and solutions. My initial emphasis will be on overhauling the AWS Security platform while evaluating the use of AI for automating security in pipeline builds. I will also work with GCP and will be encouraged to investigate and recommend new and emerging technologies.
