Must:
We are looking for a bright, ambitious Backend Software Engineer with the following qualifications:
- A degree in a STEM discipline, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics, with a 2.1 or above from a top-tier university (e.g., Russell Group, Oxbridge, World top 100).
- Proficient in C# server-side development, including .Net Core and multi-threading.
- Good knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React is beneficial, but we are happy to help you learn on the job.
- A commercially aware mindset with a desire to understand the business impact of your work.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- An interest in sports and an understanding of betting would be an advantage.
Responsibilities
As a Backend Software Engineer, you will:
- Join a cross-functional Agile product team responsible for developing high-value business-critical betting execution systems.
- Build systems to manage large datasets capable of processing updates in real time with high throughput and low latency, employing high-frequency release cycles with evolving technology choices.
- Focus primarily on back-end development with C# .Net and Kubernetes, while also working across the full stack, using TypeScript and React for client-side applications.
- Take ownership of projects and collaborate with a team of skilled engineers and business stakeholders.
- Continually learn, assess new technologies, and make recommendations within a flat organizational structure.
Description
You will be based in our fantastic offices located in a vibrant area of London, featuring an in-house gym, steam room, games room with pool tables and dart boards, a library, and complimentary high-quality catering (breakfast, lunch, dinner) from our onsite chef. We offer the flexibility to work from home two days a week, although you will be required to be onsite five days a week during your probation period.
