Requirements
Must:
- Degree educated in Computer Science or closely related discipline
- Commercial backend Java development experience including Spring, Spring Boot, microservices
- Good knowledge of AWS
- Appreciation of UI development with TypeScript / React
- Pride in producing clean, high quality code
- Familiarity with modern software engineering tools such as Kafka, Kubernetes, MongoDB
- Collaborative and motivated to learn about financial markets and advance technical knowledge

Responsibilities
- Join a small team responsible for building a brand new Futures Trading platform for the UK
- Work primarily using Java with a focus on backend development and some React UI work
- Collaborate with Product Managers to understand and define new features
- Coordinate with other developers to write software as one
- Engage in complex and challenging, highly available mission critical systems
- Learn and develop skills with support from senior engineers

As a Backend Software Engineer, you will be part of a talented, collaborative team in our London, City office, enjoying a hybrid working arrangement three days in-office and two days from home.
