- Experience with: z/OS, SMP/E, TSO/ISPF, USS, SDSF, JCL
- IBM & CA product knowledge
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Experience in regulated environments (ideally banking/financial services)
- Nice to haves: Assembler, REXX, GDPS, automation, Top Secret, Omegamon / RMF / SMF / SAS
Responsibilities
- Supporting and upgrading z/OS and core mainframe tooling
- Managing IBM and CA (Broadcom) products
- Handling production issues and system improvements
- Supporting deployments, testing, and configuration
- Joining an on-call rota for out-of-hours changes
Description
We are a leading UK bank seeking a z/OS Systems Programmer on a remote contract to support critical mainframe systems. Our team focuses on maintaining, upgrading, and optimizing a complex enterprise environment. We offer a flexible work environment, an opportunity for immediate start, and a contract structure that is compliant with IR35 regulations. This role is fully remote, but applicants must be based in the UK.
