Responsibilities
As a Technical Operative 1, I will provide basic to intermediate level IT configuration services in our Configuration department based in Hatfield. My responsibilities include:
- Performing software installations and configurations within existing IT infrastructures or pre-designed projects while being familiar with current Microsoft desktop operating systems.
- Engaging in bespoke system work where training will be provided for in-house systems.
- Building various software systems using detailed scripts, following these scripts closely to prevent escalation issues.
- Reporting effectively to supervisors and team leaders, utilizing strong communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
- Inputting data manually on spreadsheets, with an emphasis on attention to detail, as this constitutes 25-50% of my role.
- Consolidating consignments for distribution, ensuring I am aware of how my assignments contribute to the overall order.
- Managing pallet movements and work planning, while ensuring I communicate proactively with my supervisors regarding my progress.
Description
This position is an umbrella contract and falls inside IR35 regulations. As a Technical Operative 1, I will need to manage my workload independently within set deadlines. I will be expected to maintain effective communication and collaborate with my colleagues to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks. Training will be provided where necessary, particularly for bespoke systems and script adherence.
