We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in establishing and leading a Software PMO Centre of Excellence.
- Solid portfolio management skills, preferably with demonstrable digital transformation experience.
- Proven governance and reporting capabilities within a robust portfolio governance framework and cyclical reporting regime.
- Strong planning, scheduling, and resourcing abilities.
- A focus on continuous improvement.
- Significant senior leadership and team development experience.
- Experience in a senior role within a Higher Education PMO function is advantageous but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
As the Head of the Strategic Portfolio Management Office, you will lead the establishment, management, and continuous improvement of the Software PMO Centre of Excellence. Your main focus will be on leading a digital transformation portfolio and enhancing the portfolio, programme, and project management functions and services provided by the Centre of Excellence. You will ensure that the University’s Strategic Portfolio Management Office processes and controls are effectively deployed to support the successful delivery of our strategic programmes.
Description
This is an urgent, initial 6-month Fixed Term Contract, with a strong possibility of an extension or a permanent opportunity. The successful candidate will receive a monthly salary in the range of £58,000 - £60,000 per annum. We expect to conduct interviews as soon as possible and aim for a quick start.
