Requirements
Must:
- Networking & Broadcast Engineering background, a minimum academic standard to HNC/HND level of qualification, or equivalent
- Good understanding of IP technologies
- Good understanding of communication systems including mobile and fixed links (terrestrial and satellite)
- Knowledge and experience on fault finding on Broadcast systems
- Good IT skills
- Team working and lone working skills
- Imaginative approach to problem solving
Responsibilities
- Providing 2nd line support to broadcast equipment within studios, apparatus rooms, and galleries
- Supporting Net Insight Nimbra AnyLive network and associated equipment
- Supporting and maintaining various IP networks using hardware: Cisco, Arista, and FS
- Supporting our satellite dish farm with reactive fault finding and preventative maintenance
- Evaluating technical problems using appropriate broadcast and networking test and measurement equipment
- Keeping the Broadcast Support Manager/Production/NOC Staff informed of the status of any issues
- Logging all faults and irregularities and passing information between shifts
- Assisting with in-house broadcast project and installation work
